There are things we feel really strongly about as parents, one being education. Since Josh and I both work, we can’t be with our kids all the time. It is extremely important for us to find childcare with similar educational beliefs.

Fueled by the notion that learning extends far beyond the classroom, the campaign showcases how a child’s curiosity, sparked while at Kiddie Academy, carries into every aspect of their day.

It serves families and their children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old, offering full-time care, before-and after-school care, and summer camp programs.

Cultivating curiosity:
Kids are so naturally curious. I remember both my older kids asking “why” seemingly millions of times before they had many other words. This has continued through their six and four years, which makes me so happy. I attribute this mostly to Josh, who has a superpower in patience with all the questions. He takes the time to get on their level almost every time, and explain things to them until they feel sufficiently educated. A curious mind provokes so many educational experiences, and I pray my kids can keep this attribute forever.
Slowing down:
Whether the kids are asking “why” or not, it’s important for us to create our own educational experiences. This can be difficult when our life is fairly “fast paced.” For instance: my kids LOVE counting their chore money. Instead of doing it quickly and giving them the number; we try to challenge and enable them to count their own money. Another practice in patience and slowing down.
Empowering them:
One of my favorite responses to my kid’s curiosities is, “Well, what do you think?” I’m am always surprised at how often they know the answer themselves. I will always be there for my kids, but I do not want to be a crutch in their independence.
Tools for real life:
We are in the age of helicopter parenting. In some ways, it feels more necessary in today’s world, but I do worry as well. We have to let our kids fail. We have to let our kids use their own minds and suffer the consequences of possibly making the wrong decisions. I want to give my kids all the tools I possibly can and then “let them live.”

Kiddie Academy empowers children with valuable tools to help make the most of those opportunities. Given the right environment, they become more curious and collaborative, with the ability to discover and accomplish more.
